Yellow Split Pea

Quick-cooking rich, versatile peas for soups and dals.

Yellow split peas are clearly related to their green cousins, but they have a unique creamy texture and flavor. You can substitute green peas in most recipes, but they cook faster and have thinner skins. 

Both the yellow and green split peas are new for Rancho Gordo. 

A classic pureed Indian dal over rice is a delicious, quick meal, especially when topped with well-cooked onions.
